Thanks to an inspiring outpouring of support, we’re almost two thirds of the way there, but we still need all the help we can get to reach our goal by the deadline and therefore ensure that the pledges actually go through. This last week will be crucial!

A letter sent to the IACHR (Inter-American Commission on Human Rights), along with a Petition concerning the illegal forced evictions, massacres and other human rights violations of 32 Mayan communities (over 3000 people) caused by the Chixoy Hydro-electric Dam, a "development" project of the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank in partnership with successive military regimes (1975-1985)

El miércoles 25 de enero se llevó a cabo un foro público con candidatos a dirigir la Asociación de Jueces y Magistrados del Organismo Judicial. A continuación compartimos con ustedes un resumen de lo acontecido, en el que se incluyen las propuestas de los dos candidatos.

On the 2nd February 2011 our friend Víctor Leiva, known as “el Mono”, left the cultural center where he was taking dance classes. Moments later gunshots cut his life short.
